Important: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and THE Ananse Ex AND PARTNERS. By using our Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Throughout these Terms, the following definitions apply:

The Ananse Ex Event (Evenize) website, mobile application, and all related services, tools, and features.

Refers to THE Ananse Ex AND PARTNERS, including its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and representatives.
You / Your / User
Any individual or entity that accesses or uses our Platform, including Event Organizers, Event Participants, and visitors.
Event Organizer
Any user who creates, lists, promotes, or manages an event through our Platform.
Event Participant
Any user who registers for, purchases tickets to, or attends an event listed on our Platform.
Event
Any gathering, conference, workshop, seminar, training, bootcamp, hackathon, festival, or other activity listed, promoted, or booked through our Platform.
Ananse Ex Event (Evenize) provides a comprehensive platform that enables Event Organizers to:
- List and promote events across Ghana and Africa
- Manage event registrations and ticketing
- Process payments securely
- Communicate with Event Participants
- Access analytics and reporting tools
- Receive promotional support and visibility
For Event Participants, our Platform provides:
- Discovery of events across various categories
- Secure ticket purchasing and registration
- Event reminders and updates
- Access to event materials and information
We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information on our Platform. However, event details, including dates, times, locations, and prices, are provided by Event Organizers, and we do not guarantee their accuracy.
4.1 Event Organizer Responsibilities
As an Event Organizer, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Compliance with Laws: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your event complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Accurate Information: You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your event.
- Permits and Licenses: You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals required for your event.
- Event Execution: You are solely responsible for the execution and management of your event.
- Communication: You agree to communicate clearly and promptly with Event Participants regarding event updates or changes.
4.2 Event Participant Responsibilities
As an Event Participant, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Accurate Information: You will provide accurate information when registering for events.
- Compliance with Event Rules: You agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and policies established by the Event Organizer.
- Respectful Behavior: You agree to behave respectfully toward other participants, organizers, staff, and venue personnel.
- Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that attendance at events may involve inherent risks, and you assume full responsibility for any injuries, losses, or damages that may occur.
5.1 Payment Processing
All payments made through our Platform are processed securely by our payment partners. By providing payment information, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated payment method.
5.2 Ticket Prices
Ticket prices are set by Event Organizers and are displayed on the event listing. Prices include all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
5.3 Service Fees
We charge service fees for certain transactions, including:
- Ticket processing fees for Event Participants
- Listing fees for Event Organizers (if applicable)
- Promotional service fees for featured listings
5.4 Payment Schedule for Event Organizers
- Ticket revenue collected on behalf of Event Organizers will be disbursed according to the schedule selected during event creation (typically 3-7 business days after the event)
- We may hold payments for review in cases of suspected fraud or policy violations
- Event Organizers are responsible for any taxes due on revenue received through our Platform
5.5 Refunds for Event Participants
Refund policies are set by Event Organizers and are displayed on each event listing. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the refund policy specified by the Event Organizer. We process refunds on behalf of Event Organizers according to their policies.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES
6.1 Event Organizer Cancellations
If an Event Organizer cancels an event:
- Refund to Participants: Event Participants will receive a full refund of the ticket price paid, minus any non-refundable service fees already incurred. Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days.
- Refund Calculation: Only money paid to us minus advertised service costs will be deducted. All other costs incurred by the prospective Event Participant (such as travel, accommodation, or incidental expenses) must be settled directly between the Event Organizer and the Participant. We are not responsible for such costs.
6.2 Platform Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel any event listing or registration due to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or misleading content
- Technical issues affecting the Platform
- Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
In such cases, Event Participants will receive a full refund of all money paid through our Platform.
6.3 Cancellation by Participants
Event Participants may cancel their registration according to the refund policy specified by the Event Organizer. Some events may offer free cancellation within a specified window; others may be non-refundable. Please review the event listing carefully before purchasing.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
7.1 No Liability for Event Outcomes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any outcomes, losses, damages, or injuries arising from or related to:
- The conduct, content, or execution of any event
- Actions or omissions of Event Organizers, speakers, performers, or participants
- Any disputes between Event Organizers and Event Participants
- Any claims made by third parties regarding your event
7.2 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless THE Ananse Ex AND PARTNERS, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use of our Platform
- Your event or any activities related to your event
- Any content you post or share
- Your violation of these Terms
- Any claims made by Event Participants or third parties arising from your event
Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our Platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
Our Platform, including its design, layout, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8.2 User Content
- Event Organizers retain ownership of all content they post on our Platform, including event descriptions, images, videos, and promotional materials.
- Event Participants retain ownership of any content they post, including reviews, comments, and profile information.
8.3 License to Us
By posting content on our Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Display, distribute, and promote your content on our Platform
- Use your content for marketing and promotional purposes
- Modify or adapt your content as necessary for technical compatibility
8.4 Promotional Use
We may feature or promote your event on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and other marketing materials without additional compensation to you, unless you expressly opt out in writing.

DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
9.1 Our Privacy Policy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Platform, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
9.2 Event Organizer Responsibilities
As an Event Organizer, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable data protection laws (including Ghana's Data Protection Act)
- Only collect personal information necessary for your event
- Securely store and protect participant data
- Not share participant data with third parties without consent
- Provide your own privacy policy to participants as required by law
9.3 Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.

GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
10.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Additionally, these Terms incorporate the Policies and Ethical Value Codes of THE Ananse Ex AND PARTNERS.
10.2 Dispute Resolution Process
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our Platform shall be resolved as follows:
- Negotiation: Parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiations.
- Mediation: If negotiation fails, parties agree to mediate through a mutually agreed mediator in Accra, Ghana.
- Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes shall be finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798) of Ghana.
- Courts: Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief from the courts of Ghana to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.
10.3 Jurisdiction
Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Accra, Ghana. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
